Introduction

I'm a first year statistics grad student at UCLA, and one of my professors suggested I check out Hacks/Hackers. I'm interested in data visualization and large data.

Are you looking for partners to collaborate on a project, and if so what?

Down the road I may be interested in research collaborations as I move toward my PhD topic.

Are you a hack (writer, photographer, content creator), a hacker (developer, engineer, designer) or both?

I actually got my MBA from UCLA and I can only imagine the work you're doing as a PhD candidate. I assume that you're thinking you can use visualization to help display research results? This is actually a challenge faced by corporate research organizations as well, especially as more and more activity occurs online.

I'm currently planning two different approaches for our kickoff. Could you please take a look at the discussion thread and share your thoughts?

Hi Amelia, I'm not sure if my new meetup group will appeal to your interests. "Tech Cofounder Dating LA" was created for advanced coders, business people and others to gather and build tech companies. We posted our 1st event for next month and already have a great crowd of people with divers skill sets. Join if it makes sense.
